Multiple Teams · TMS Track vs Tri-Central 5/9/16

Dealing with the absence of many teammates, our 7 girls and 6 boys came prepared to battle today against Tri-Central and both the boys and girls were able to ring the Titan Victory bell!

The boys had a huge win today, topping Tr-Central 51-23.  Jaylin Reece was  quadruple winner, winning the 100 (:13.71), 200 (:29.33), Long jump (13′ 8.5″) and was a member of the winning 4×100 relay along with Trent Monroe, Ze’Vion Ezell, and Tyler Lawson (:53.78).  Tyler Lawson won the 400 (1:20.09) and placed second in discus (78’8″). Kirsten Alexander ran the 400 and took second (1:22.68) as well as second in high jump (3’8″).  Molly St Clair placed second in long jump (11′ 8.5″) and third in the high jump (3’6″) and the 200 (:31.65). Carly Brewster ran the 1600 and ended in second place (7:28) and took third in discus (45’4″).  Sierra Fritsch, as our lone 6th grader today, came out and got third in the 800 (3:27).

The kids didn’t get very many personal records (PRs) today due to the cold and rainy conditions but they left everything on the track in order to get these wins.  We needed everyone to contribute and today every single kid placed.  The Middle school track team concludes their season at Eastern on Saturday at the MIC Invite.
