Taylor High School
In only the first true home game of the season the 6th grade Titans put up a valiant effort to only fall short 21-17. Once again shooting was the downfall as Peru led 10-2 after the first quarter as the Titans failed time after time to put the biscuit in the basket. Defense improved in the 2nd as the Titans held them to a single basket and was able to cut into the lead behind Jay’vier Patterson’s 3 Points in the stanza. Peru won the 3rd quarter to extend their lead by 2 points as the young Titans went a brutal 1-8 from the foul line in the period. Going into the final quarter trailing by 6 missed opportunities in the paint and the line proved costly as they were only able to slice 2 points off the lead in spite of a solid defensive effort to keep the game a possession or 2 down the stretch. Dylan Bass led the scoring with 7, Zien Stewart had 4 with 3 each from Catch Sullivan and Patterson. In the B game Josh Parker scored 4 and zeke Lamberson, Silas Cully and Brannon Hovis played meaningful minutes to help with their improvement.
