Game Recap

The Titan freshmen dropped a very tough, hard fought game to Northwestern this evening losing by a score of 37-35. The game was close the entire way. The Titans led at the first quarter break by a score of 14-11, Northwestern came back to tie it up at halftime, Taylor led again at the third quarter break 31-27 before letting the Tigers prevail at the end by 2 points. The story of the game was turnovers and missed free throws for the Titans. Jacob Isaacs led the Titans with 16 points, Toric Spires added 5, Sean Pearce and Jaylin Reece each chipped in 4 points while Alex Kropczynski, Karleion Blackburn and Darien Valencia each scored a bucket for 2 points each. The Tigers were led by Mason Estle with 9 points, Nate Bennett and Ethan Kinney each added 6 points, Austin O’Neal and Ben Beachy added 5 points each, Payden Carpenter scored 4 points and Brady Lovelace added a bucket for 2 points. The Titan record is now 5-6 and the Tigers evened their record at 7-7. Taylor is off until Saturday, January 28, when we play in the Kokomo tourney.
