Taylor High School
Taylor played a very good Logansport Berries squad in the consolation game of the Kokomo tourney falling by a score of 59-35. Not sure what it is about this Taylor team but Logansport came out on fire in the first half opening up a 23 point lead at halftime. Just like game 1 of the day, the Titans played much better in the second half playing virtually even with the Berries. Toric Spires once again had a good game as he led the Titans in scoring with 9 points, Ethan McCorkle added 8 points for the Titans while Darien Valencia and Owen Farrington each added 5 points. Karleion Blackburn nailed a three pointer for his 3 points while Alex Kropczynski added a hoop and harm for his 3 points on the day. Jacob Isaacs added 2 points and Sean Pearce added a free throw for 1 point to complete the Titan scoring. The Berries were led by Mason Shafer with 13 points before he had to leave the game with an injury. Donny Cardona added 12 points, CJ Hallam added 9 points while Juan Alvarado added 8 points for Logansport. Evan Vizcarra and Oscar Lima each contributed 6 points, Blake Isaacs added 3 points and Evan Hassett added 2 to complete the Berries scoring. Taylor is now 5-8 on the season with Tri-Central up next at Taylor on Tuesday evening.
