Game Recap

The Titan freshmen dropped a game on Tuesday night to the Tri-Central Trojans by a score of 39-31. The Titans came out aggressive, unselfish and were hitting their shots in quarter number 1 in which they opened up an 11-10 lead. It was ice cold from there as the Titans could not hit their free throws, their three pointers or get points off the drive. The Trojans went into halftime with a 20-16 lead, expanded that to 31-23 at the end of the third quarter and held the 8 point lead thru the fourth quarter. Jacob Isaacs led the Titan scoring with 9 points, Sean Pearce added 5 points and Darien Valencia and Alex Kropczynski each added 4 points. Toric Spires nailed a 3 pointer while Owen Farrington canned a nice baby hook off the board for two points. Jaylin Reece completed the Titan scoring with a free throw for 1 point. The Trojans were led in scoring by Braxton Young with 15 points, Michael Carr with 9 points and Pickett with 7 points. Aaron Holman added 4 points while Alexander Porter and Will Padgett each added 2 points to complete the scoring for Tri-Central. With the loss, Taylor’s record drops to 5-9 with one game left in the season against Eastern on February 8 at 6pm.
