The Taylor Titans hosted a triangular meet against Maconaquah and Southwood on Tuesday night. Maconaquah won the meet scoring 75 points, Southwood scored 55 points, and the Titans scored 36 points. The ladies continue to have strong performances this season. Alison Pemberton was a triple winner with personal bests in each event. She won the Long Jump with a jump of 15′ 10.5″, the high jump with a jump of 4′ 10″, and lead off the winning 4×100 relay which finished in 53.29. Brooke Morris was a double winner. She won the 100 meter dash in a time of 14.01 and anchored the 400 relay team, as well as finishing second in the 200 meter dash. Austyn Huffer was also a member of the 400 relay team and she placed in the high jump with a personal best jump of 4’8″. Ayden Richter was a member of the 400 relay team and she placed in both the 100 and 200 dashes.
These young ladies continue to improve on a meet to meet basis. It’s a lot of fun to see all of the girls become better runners and jumpers. The freshmen athletes get better each meet.
