Taylor High School
The Titans started their sectional play with a convincing win against the Tri Central Trojans Monday night at Taylor. The Titans scored in the first minute with a goal from Wesley Borgani and they never looked back. TC tied the score briefly about 10 minutes later but the Titans answered with a goal from Logan Bass. The Titans controlled the ball all evening and jumped out to a 6-1 lead before TC scored again to make it 6-2. The Titans scored again late in the first half to cap the scoring. They used a good passing and possession game to control play in the second half and secure the victory. Jaylin Reece was tasked with trying to shut down TC’s #1 scorer and did a great job at that. Borgani score 3 goals on the night, Bass had 2 and Braxton Downs and Conner Hight each added a goal. Borgani also chipped in with 2 assists as did Cash Kelley-Smalley. Bass and Hight each had an assist as well. Brett Baer had 5 saves on the night and Hight had 2 in a relief effort to get Baer some field time. The win moves the Titans to 4-12. They play again Wednesday night @7:00 against Liberty Christian from Anderson.
