Titans News · Titans Fall Short in Sectional Championship game

The Titans sufffered a 19-0 loss to Alexandria monday afternoon in the Sectional chapionship game. Mike Pemberton took the loss for the Titans going 1IP, 4R, 6BB’s,1K.  Eli Harris and Colby Devenport combined to finish the game in relief. At the plate, Owen Farrington, and Karleion Blackburn each had a double. Coach Dill said,” This is not how we envisioned this game going. We knew we would have to be at our best, but we believed we could compete with Alexandria however, today was not our day. We had 14 walks and you will not beat any team when you give that many free passes. You also have tip your cap to Alexandria. They are well coached, they are talented, and they work hard in the offseason. They earned the trophy, and the title of Sectional Champions.  Our team played so well the last three games of the season. The boys were playing their best ball at the right time, and thats what every team is trying to do. I think everyone got a  glimpse of what we can do over the next few years if the guys put in the work in the offseason. I can’t put into words how proud I am of our team, our school, and our fans. It was a fun week and a half of baseball that the boys just played, and I am excited about where we can go from this.  We will obviously miss our three Seniors, but we will work to try and fill the viod that they leave. I know we have guys that can help do that as we move forward.”  The Titans finish their season with a record of 9-18.
