The Titan Freshmen increased their happy streak to 4 in a row with a 34-24 victory over the Sheridan Blackhawks at Sheridan on Wednesday evening. The young Titans jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter only to be outscored 10-2 in quarter #2. Settling down in the second half, the Titans took much better care of the basketball winning each of the third and fourth quarters by 2 points each to finish the game with a 10 point advantage. Ty’mon Davis and Conner Hight led the Titans in scoring with 8 points each. Cory Madison added 7 points for Taylor, Nathan Keene chipped in 6 points and Josh Bowman added 5 points for the Titans total of 34. Ty’mon Davis and Nathan Keene each pulled down several rebounds. The Titans had 11 steals on the night with Josh Bowman and Nathan Keene each having 3 steals a piece. Cory Madison and Conner Hight each had two picks. The Blackhawks were led in scoring by Kyle Eden with 5 points and a trio of players with 4 points each: Brentley Alexander, Jacob Shreve and Corbin Murray. Carter Barker chipped in 3 points and Bryce Brown and Dakota Doty each added 2 points for Sheridan’s total of 24. Taylor now sits at 4-2 going into the holiday break. The Titans will face Clinton Prairie on January 3rd at Clinton Prairie.
