The Titan freshmen finally got back into action on Saturday night against the Western Panthers after a three week layoff due to the holidays and our wonderful winter weather. Unfortunately, the Titans came out on the short end of the score losing by a final of 41-25. Taylor fell behind by 5 points at half, clawed back to tie it at 18 early in the third but then fell apart down the stretch as Western scored 17 points in the fourth quarter. The Titans were led in scoring by Nathan Keene with 9 points. Tymon Davis added 6 points, Christian Parks had a very solid game scoring 4 points but making several key hustle plays, especially early in the game. Josh Bowman contributed 3 points, Cory Madison added 2 points and Truman Howerton added a free throw for Taylor’s total of 25. Western was led in scoring by Collin Rassel with 17 points. Chayse Wilson contributed 12 points, Jacob Moore added 6 points while Evan Leisure drained a 3 pointer for his 3 points. Daniel Marley scored 2 points and Cayden Lafayette added 1 point for the Panther’s total of 41. Taylor is now 4-3 on the year with a road game at Hamilton Heights on Monday.
