The Taylor Titans JV squad got back into the win column Friday night when the defeated the Sheridan Blackhawks 44-29. The Titans played one of their most complete games of the season and lead throughout. They shared the ball well, having 12 assists on 18 made baskets. Drew Smith led the way in that category with a team high four assists. The Titans led by three after one quarter and by 10 points at the half. The second half was a little sloppy at times but the lead grew to 12 by the end of the 3rd. The home team was out scored by 3 in the final quarter to lead to the final 15 point deficit. Taylor was led in scoring and rebounding by freshman Jayden Davis. He 13 points and seven rebounds. Davis also had 4 steals. Fellow freshman Jaylen Harris added eight points, Clay Brubaker added six points, four rebounds and four steals, and Damarion Brent had five points and five rebounds. The win moves the Titans to 3-8. They play again Saturday night at Tipton. JV tip is set for 6:00pm.
