The Taylor boys soccer team hosted Carroll Thursday night. It was youth night at the game as the Titans were hosting players from the youth league as their guests. Taylor started off strong during the first ten minutes of the game. They were moving the ball well, and pushing forward into the offensive 3rd of the field. Senior Sivert Karlsen had several runs through the midfield where Carroll could not stop him. He just couldn’t seem to get a shot off though. The Titans, playing a man down due to injuries, started to struggle with ball control late in the 1st half. They weren’t getting good touches and were turning the ball over frequently. The visitors score had a three minute stretch late in the game were they tallied 3 goals to push their lead to five going into half time. They added four more through out the second half to get to the final score of 9-0. The game was called with about 13 minutes left on the clock due to lightening in the area. Truman Howerton started in goal and had 13 saves. The loss drops the Titans to 0-6. Their next game is Monday at Sheridan.
