The Taylor Boys tennis team traveled to Mooresville on Saturday to take part in the Mooresville Invitational. In the first match of the day, the Titans squared off against the Mississenewa Indians and lost by a score of 0-5. Then in the consolation match, the Titans faced Linton. The #2 & #3 singles each posted victories as Nathan Keene won at #3 by a score of 6-0, 6-0 and Kendall Lanning won at #2 by a score of 6-0. 6-3. Both doubles teams were defeated 0-6, 0-6 so the final point came down to the #1 singles match featuring Ethan Klepinger for the Titans. Ethan and his opponent battled for two hours as they split the first two sets with Ethan losing set #1 by a score of 3-6 but coming back to win set #2 by a 6-2 margin. Set #3 was back and forth throughout with Klepinger falling by a final score of 5-7. Just one or two points separated Ethan and his opponent as it could have gone either way in the end. The Titans will travel to Madison-Grant on Tuesday night for a match against the Argyles.
