The Taylor girls track and field team competed in a triangular meet Lewis Cass and Delphi at Lewis Cass on Thursday. Lewis Cass won the meet with 89 points. Taylor finished second with 49 points.
Alison Pemberton was a triple winner. Pemberton won the high jump with a leap of 5’2”, the long jump with a jump of 15’ 3.25”, and she lead off the 4×100 realay which finished in a time of 53.86
Brooke Morris was also a triple winner. Morris won the 100 in a time of 13.53, 200 with a time of 29.62, and anchored the 4×100 relay.
The middle legs of the 4×100 relay were Austyn Huffer and Ayden Richter.
Ellie Hall was second I. The shot put and Allison Abney picked up seconds in both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Madison Howerton finished second in the pole vault.
I’m really pleased with our efforts tonight. I thought the girls competed really well on our first meet. We had a lot of strong performances. The girls had a really strong start with a lot of room left for improvement.
