The Titans boys soccer team ran into a buzz saw Tuesday night when they traveled to Lafayette to face Faith Christian. This was the the 2nd game in as many nights for the Titans and it showed. With low numbers, Taylor has struggled in the 2nd game of back to back nights due to tired legs. The Titans struggled to get going and came out flat. The host Eagles controlled the game from the start. They are probably one of the best teams the Titans will see all season. The Eagles showed great sportsmanship and dropped down to play us 8v8 the whole game. The Titans goal came late in the 2nd half when Clay Murray intercepted a kick from the goalie, raced into the box and slotted a shot to the near post to get the Titans on the scoreboard. Brett Baer started in goal and had nine save. Truman Howerton played goalie in the 2nd half and had 6 saves. The loss drops the Titans to 1-10 on the season. Their next game is a rain make-up from two weeks ago. The Titans will travel to Rossville Thursday for their final conference game of the season. The game is scheduled to start at 5:30.
