The Taylor Freshmen had a tough battle against the Maconaquah Braves but emerged with their first victory of the young season by a score of 37-33. It was a close game throughout the first half but the Titans were able to open up a 10 point advantage early in the 3rd quarter only to see the Braves storm back to take a 1 point lead at the end of the third quarter. Taylor was able to regain control of the game and held on for a 4 point victory. The Titans were led in scoring by Ashton McKay with 9 points, Trower Davis with 8 points and Zach Schesser with 5 points. Cole Boruff and Michael Pemberton each contributed 4 points while Tanner Miller drained a triple for his 3 points. The Titan scoring was completed by Ethan Griffin and Cameron Craft with 2 points each. The Braves were led by Brennan Bailey with 15 points. The rest of the Braves scoring was very balanced as Hayden Williamson had 5 points, Haiden Thompson added 4 points, Trenton Cobble chipped in 3 points and Mason Yoars, Mason Barnes and Richard Reimer each added 2 points. The Titans are now 1-2 on the season and will face Carroll at home on Thursday night at 6pm.
